Recipe: FTF Garden-Grown Herb Vinaigrette
Ingredients:
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp white vinegar
4–5 fresh basil leaves from the garden, chopped
A small handful of homegrown cilantro, minced
1 small clove garlic, freshly minced
Salt & pepper to taste
Optional: pinch of sugar or drizzle of honey if you want a slight sweetness
Instructions:
Start with your white vinegar in a small bowl. Add in the garlic, salt, and pepper. Let that sit a couple minutes so the garlic can mellow out.
Add the chopped basil and cilantro.
Slowly pour in the olive oil while whisking until it blends together smooth.
Taste it. Adjust however you like—more vinegar for tang, more herbs for boldness.
Drizzle over fresh spinach and toss it. Simple. Clean. Full of life.
FTF Reflection:
I didn’t have to buy anything. I grew this. That hit me while I was eating: a man who used to destroy himself now grows his own food and seasons it with his own hands. This dressing ain’t just about flavor—it’s proof that change takes root if you let it.
